Collect all stacks and folders and binders. Empty them and sort by relation. Throw away most of it, digitise the rest and archive the essential.
Going forward to minimizing input by setting up auto payments, getting statements on email and cancelling most subscriptions.
When a document enters your world you immediately put it in the inbox, unless you can deal with it in under two minutes. Add a note to the document in the inbox if needed to remind you of what to do with it.
